Greetings to all new and returning CCBA members and sponsors! Your Board of Governors has been hard at work. Allow me to update you.
We welcome to the Board our newest Governor, Brett Taylor. Brett practices complex and commercial litigation with Cozen O’Connor. Along with past president Amy Alderfer, Brett will serve as co-editor of this Newsletter and support other Board programs throughout the year.
I hope to see all of you on March 30, 2017, at our 49th Annual Installation Ceremony and Awards Banquet. The Honorable Christine Byrd will once again preside over the installation of the Board and its newly elected officers:
· Rob Freund, President
· Stefan O’Grady, President-elect
· Lucas Messenger, Vice President
· Nina Hong, Secretary
· Lori Werderitch, Treasurer
This year’s Banquet will mark the end of my two terms as CCBA President. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in this role, and look forward to supporting my fellow Governors as they take CCBA forward.
On that note, we are extremely fortunate to have Rob Freund on deck as President-elect. An accomplished business litigator with Greenberg Traurig, Rob has demonstrated keen judgment and dedication during his several years as a Governor. I have the highest hopes and expectations for CCBA under the Freund Administration.
We have full slate of excellent programming in addition to the Banquet, including Dean Erwin Chemerinsky’s Annual Update on Constitutional Law luncheon on July 20, 2017.
Finally, we currently have seats on the Board to fill. Board service is a wonderful way to connect with other high-quality practitioners and serve the Century City legal community. If you are interested, please contact Rob Freund (email@example.com) or me (firstname.lastname@example.org) directly.
All the best,
