Immunity Under The California Unclaimed Property Law

California’s Unclaimed Property Law (UCL), found at CCP §1500 et seq., requires businesses, associations, financial institutions and insurance companies to deliver specified property to the California Controller if there has been no activity on the account or contact with the owner for a period of time delineated in the statute, usually three years.
