Amy Semmel, Esq., is a seasoned employment attorney with extensive experience in employment law and business litigation.

Ms. Semmel serves as an arbitrator on the Employment Law Panel of the American Arbitration Association, as well as a Workplace Investigator and Discovery Referee. Ms. Semmel is a partner at Kelley•Semmel LLP where her practice focuses on the representation of employees, including matters involving employment discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and other protected characteristics; sexual harassment; wrongful termination; whistle blower actions; defamation, wage and hour disputes (unpaid wages, meal periods and overtime); unfair business practices and trade secrets.

Fay Arfa, Esq., practices criminal law exclusively. She is certified as a Specialist in Criminal Law and Appellate Law by the California State Bar, Board of Legal Specialization. The National Board of Trial Advocacy awarded her a Certification in Criminal Trial Advocacy. She is a past President of the Century City Bar Association, currently serves on the Century City Bar Board of Governors and served as Criminal Law Chair (1998-2012).

What We Can Learn from 30 Years of Research

Dr. Ilona Salmons is a Los Angeles based psychotherapist and leadership consultant. She works with high-achieving professionals to address and resolve personal and occupational issues, including burnout.

She enjoys helping her clients lead balanced, effective, and fulfilling lives. A former HR Manager, Dr. Salmons intimately understands how the interaction between personal and environmental factors contribute to a high-performance culture. She is passionate about creating workplaces where team members can thrive - to the benefit of themselves and their firms.

Dr. Salmons obtained her B.A. in Psychology from UCLA, her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine, and trained under top LA psychologists. She pursued her Doctorate of Organizational Leadership at Pepperdine University, where she focused her research on the legal profession and published her dissertation, Best Practices for Managing Burnout in Attorneys.

Program Host

Robert Freund, Esq., is an Associate at Greenberg Traurig and focuses his practice on general commercial litigation in both state and federal court. He serves on the Century City Board of Governors.
